I thought I'd blatantly copy the 15mm thread for 28mm and see what people wanted for their 28mm games this year.

My wishlist would be:

More Grymn (including bikers) and space Dwarfs
A wider selection of 28mm vehicles
A wider selection of 28mm dropships
More non-humanoid aliens

Pictors Studio03 Jan 2013 12:16 a.m. PST

28mm Plastic MkII, MkIII or MkIV Space Marines.

Whatisitgood4atwork03 Jan 2013 2:46 a.m. PST

Retro Raygun Galacticeers in flight.

Retro Raygun anything. G.A.F.D.O.Z. too.

Insomniac 02 Jan 2013 11:13 p.m. PST:

More Grymn (including bikers) and space Dwarfs
There's been some rumours that the Grymn might make an appearance in Rick Priestley -led Beyond the Gates of Antares since they've reputedly gotten Kev White to agree to come on board (at least if they can get together the funds to pay him). One might assume that means more Grymn sometime down the line but not necessarily so much for 2013.

A wider selection of 28mm vehicles
A wider selection of 28mm dropships
More non-humanoid aliens
Seconded, especially that last (-:)

To round up the wishlist with the same stuff as last year (since not so much of that actually appeared), more alien looking terrain pieces and more actually futuristic looking buildings plz.

Arms. Several companies make torsos, legs, and heads for kitbashing but hardly anybody makes arms. Arms, I say!

Pizzagrenadier03 Jan 2013 7:38 a.m. PST

Plastic mk VI beakies. They missed an opportunity with the 25th anniversary. That original box updated with new minis is just crying to be released IMHO of course :)

I figure since Forgeworld is concentrating on the mk II-IV right?

Also, anything Pig Iron and Gamecraft put out for sci fi.

And the return of more Old Crow…

Richard Gaulding03 Jan 2013 8:00 a.m. PST

The rebirth of AT-43 with a new edition of rules and revamped, non-prepaint minis (preferably multi-part plastic but single part/few parts restic wouldn't bee too bad either).

While we're wishing, you know ;)

Atomic Floozy03 Jan 2013 8:06 a.m. PST

My wish list includes unarmored tall bald women to use as Xeogs in 5150: New Beginnings. Poses unarmed, with a pistol, with a sniper rifle, & with assault rifles are all needed. Or if anyone just made bald female heads for conversions, that would be good too.

Chuckaroobob03 Jan 2013 8:18 a.m. PST

Don't remember the name, but Khadarian was making a niftly little 4 wheeled armored car in 15mm, would love it in 28…

richarDISNEY03 Jan 2013 8:53 a.m. PST

More 'near future' tanks and vehicles.

Elaine,

Hasslefree Miniatures has some bald female heads. Maybe they'll work for your needs?

There are two sets of human female heads, here:

and here:

and a set of female elf heads here:

Same is original post ( great mind …) and some grell from DP9 …the Idea is just cool

Lardie the Great03 Jan 2013 11:09 a.m. PST

Insomniac, the Disney store have a 50% off sale and the Avengers Quinnjet is available, only slightly off scale but not by much the cargo bay "appears" to be able to carry a Zebu armoured car (Antenociti Workshop) I say appears 'cos the bay dosen't go that far back, but for £16.49 GBP you can't get better.

Pictors Studio03 Jan 2013 12:31 p.m. PST

"I figure since Forgeworld is concentrating on the mk II-IV right?"

Yes, but I'm not a big fan of the Forge World Resin stuff. If they did them in plastic, even just one of them, then I'd probably mix in some of the others in the army from Forge World but would build up the bulk of my stuff in the plastic.

PatrickWR03 Jan 2013 1:23 p.m. PST

Would be nice to have some non-GW crewed heavy weaopns. I have a few from Pig Iron and Demonblade that look very cool.

Beyond Defiance Games and GW 'Nids, how many 28mm bugs are out there on the market? That might be a nice niche to fill.

"Plastic mk VI beakies."

Yes please!

Lion in the Stars03 Jan 2013 2:41 p.m. PST

More clean-scifi terrain. I want to be able to put a skirmish on a table that looks like people are going about their mundane lives, and all of a sudden GUNFIRE!

yorkie o103 Jan 2013 3:54 p.m. PST

Id like to see some more vehicles, not big tanks but light patrol vehicles and mechs. maybe also some UAV's. How about some civvies, and maybe some downed pilots or mech crew?

Some nasty looking aliens in 28mm would also be most welcome.

flooglestreet03 Jan 2013 5:32 p.m. PST

I would like Hydra, or someone, to do the Miller Earth Invaders in 28mm. miller-aliens.blogspot.com then again, I would like to see more retro sf from Hydra period.

ordinarybass03 Jan 2013 6:12 p.m. PST

I'm mostly looking forward to the Mantic Warpath Kickstarter. My wishlist for that is.

-Plastic Forgefathers tank
-Redone Plastic Basic Forgefathers
-Plastic Drakarim

chironex03 Jan 2013 7:28 p.m. PST

Driver figures to pilot all kinds of vehicles, from R (big bike) to HC (big rig). Too easy to find vehicles and too difficult to find anyone in the drivers seat when the vehicle is open topped.

crazy cat04 Jan 2013 11:18 a.m. PST

I'd like to see some Traveller RPG minis – specifically Aslan and Vargr alien races or some decent proxies if (more likely because) licencing doesn't allow.

Also a decent choice of shuttles and dropships in 28mm (plastic or resin) would be really helpful, both armed and unarmed.

In a complete dreamworld a 28mm Space 1999 Eagle (at a remotely affordable price) would be the best thing ever….

Lion in the Stars04 Jan 2013 1:23 p.m. PST

oh, almost forgot: civilians!

No, not punks/streetgangers, upstanding citizens. Alternative arms are ok, as are alternative hands (briefcase, tabletcomp, whatever). Weapons OPTIONAL.

GhostofRebecaBlack05 Jan 2013 10:09 a.m. PST

Yes, more civilians, mostly without mohawks and bicycle chains, would be nice.

Richard Gaulding05 Jan 2013 1:01 p.m. PST

More armed civilians who look like modern day people would be a good thing too, I think. There are plenty available, but most look decidedly retro. Where are my Uzi-toting* hipsters, dangit?!

Uzi because they are ironically retro these days . . .)

" More clean-scifi terrain"

If you mean "non-destroyed" building terrain I agree 100%!.

More plastic "not Imperial Guards" would be nice. Im not a fan of the Wargames Factory stuff.

Cadian 7th09 Jan 2013 12:00 a.m. PST

COBs!!!!! I really want some scifi civilians, weapons optional.
It'd be nice to game small skirmish scenarios with one side( law/ elite troops) not wanting to hurt them vs another( gangers/commandos) that gain points for mayhem.

(Major Disaster)21 Jan 2013 11:57 a.m. PST

Khurasan Miniatures to release their 28mm Caiman HAPC and Polecat ALUV, and make the Siler Heavy Tank and Lion APC available as 28mm kits

Rebel Minis to to produce their Earth Force Drop Troopers and Titan Marines in 28mm, as well as their HAMR and VPR suits in 28mm. Wouldn't mind a 28mm Titan Marine Dropship/Gunship kit in 28mm either

Pig Iron Productions to expand their System Troopers line and make more vehicle kits

Ravenstar Studios to make 28mm Land Core kits

Rogzombie Fezian25 Jan 2013 5:16 p.m. PST

Civilians and characters without guns and anything that will work for Doctor Who. Probably leave the big battle 40k type stuff go this year.

Come In Nighthawk26 Jan 2013 8:32 p.m. PST

Retro Raygun Galacticeers in flight…
Flight? You mean running away???? huh?

BlackWidowPilot Fezian26 Jan 2013 8:39 p.m. PST

Hard plastic powered armor suits based upon Starship Troopers THE BOOK with separate jump packs, y-rack bomb throwers, and assorted weapons options.

'Beyond Defiance Games and GW 'Nids, how many 28mm bugs are out there on the market? That might be a nice niche to fill.'

I think it's only GW bugs that are on the market ;-p the others are MIA….

I want to see plastic Horus Heresy (or earlier) marines, vehicles and imperial army.

Insomniac29 Jan 2013 3:26 a.m. PST

To add to my original wishes, I would also like Tachikomas.

Lampyridae29 Jan 2013 3:34 a.m. PST

Zvezda does 1/48 bugs…

Capt Flash29 Jan 2013 8:35 a.m. PST

Second to BlackWidowPilot and Frankietanch.
Some modular Hard plastic 1/56 mecha.
Armorcast to release the B-Tech mechs.
Anyone to release 1/56 Macross Saga everything.

It would be great if Heresy Miniatures got their plastic troopers out in the next few months, but seems progress has been slow.
I really like the greens so far, they have a very 2000 AD vibe going on.

And I REALLY hope that they are reasonably priced.
