It might sound a little redundant (or even 'old news') but – having just downloaded them myself – I've added a link to the contacts page on the Slammer's site hammers-slammers.com/contact.htm to point people to the Kindle editions of the Complete Hammers Slammers books – Volumes 1-3 (both Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com). These are Kindle versions of the Nightshade Publications books and contain every 'proper' Slammers story to date* but note that they are the paperback versions rather than the hardback versions (certainly the ones I downloaded were anyway) which, whilst the text may well be exactly the same, means no internal illustrations. By which I mean my illustrations – which featured in the hard backs – do not appear to be present. Oh well :( Anyway, Hardback, paperback or Kindle, they are still the best way to get access to all of that material: they have a short story in each which is unique to them and – even if you have some or most of the material elsewhere – they are, in my humble opinion, worth buying for that material alone. John Treadaway * Just a reminder that the collection does not include the excellent Forlorn Hope – currently not available on Kindle (as far as I can tell) which, Dave Drake has agreed, can be contained within the Slammers Crucible Rules universe. |

John, last year I bought volume 1 for my Kindle directly from Baen and your illustrations were in there. |

Hmmm – I'll check mine again: I only have the UK (Kindle versions so perhaps there are different version out there? Anyway, I only got them ysterday so I'll have a good look through and see if I missed anything (always possible!). Thanks Caesar. John T |

It was a pleasant surprise as I own the hardcover and wanted the kindle just for reading. I didn't expect the illustrations to match the hardcover. |

If anyone looks at this thread
Just a shill for one of Drake's non-Hammers books, Redliners link Drake's books are seldom soothing
this one exemplifies that more than most. |
