Just found out that Wayland Games now stocks the Zombicide boardgame known from the very succesful kickstarter some time ago. I have missed the kickstarter but heard lots of good stories and reviews about the quality and gameplay of the boardgame.

So for those who missed the kickstarter here's your chance to get this excellent boardgame packed with useful miniatures!

"Ever wondered exactly how you would fare in a Zombie Apocalypse? Assume the role of one of a handful of survivors – each armed with a unique set of abilities, and use your skill and cunning to defeat the hordes of undead that lurk around every corner.

Zombies are brainless, predictable creatures who are controlled by a simple set of cards – but the strength of zombies is their sheer numbers, and unluckily for you, Zombicide is packed with an absolute horde!

With 10 different scenarios to play through and a modular map which allows for near-endless re-playability, Zombicide is an ideal game for either a family, group of friends, or a gaming group!

This game is designed for 1-6 players aged 13+, and gameplay lasts approximately 60 minutes. "

The game is now availabe at Wayland Games for £62.99 GBP offering great value in terms of possible fun and the certain quality!

In stock :0
Nothing against you or Wayland Games but it's not available yet according to their store.

You haven't actually played the game, then? I found it to be disappointingly easy to win, although some of the online fan-made scenarios are marginally challenging. The only real saving grace is the potential usefulness of the minis for other purposes.

If you want a more competitive and interesting zed game, City of Horror is a better choice IMO:

Not chock full of minis like Zombicide, but still excellent component quality and much more replay value.

Missed that bit in my excitement! However they state that they are ordered and will appear soon so fingers crossed and a bit more waiting won't make a big difference.

Cheers and thanks for pointing that out.

@Rich, No I haven't but I heard many good reviews both in person and online but never managed to play a game. But thanks for pointing that out I will wait a bit more before ordering, untill they replentish their stock! cheers

Not your fault. It does say 'In Stock' on the front page. It's only when you get to the store the horrible truth is revealed.

I missed this as the kickstarter began and ended while I was deployed.
hopefully it will be available soon, although I really wanted it and some of the additional characters for Christmas….perhaps it can be available in time for the next yule season!

My "kids" (22 & 27) and their girlfriends and buddies love the game. I got it for Christmas and we played a couple of games and they liked it so much they organized a couple of massive 6+ player late night games of their own that went into the wee hours with great fun for all. Neither are what I'd call gamers and Zombicide seems to make for a nice infection vector.

I bought a copy from Meeplemart in Canada – if you are in Canada they have good prices and shipped mine very fast.

My kids (and I) love it.

We have it in the store, though no 10% off. Oh, wait, there's the d20 sale…

Every game I've seen played has everyone involved having an awesome time. Can't say as to the strategic factor, of course, as I've not tried it.

Several Last Night fans said it's better, if that helps.

My daughter (31) wheedled me something fierce for a copy. Soon, dear, soon…

I'd say McKinstry has it nailed, though a couple of the unofficial 'demo' gamers, aka Fanboys, here are very competent boardgamers in general.

Very nice game and the difficulty level can easily be changed by adding or removing survivors. In our experience the difficulty level is medium with 6 survivors, easy with more and difficult with less. And of course keeping everyone alive is a wee bit more difficult.
Attracts veteran gamers and newbies alike at the club. Recommended.

WN&TB – what is your relationship to Wayland Games – are you an official spokesman?

Thanks
