I had inform about it in the near past TMP link And now. "After a year and an exhibition in Schwetzingen (partnertown of Fredericksburg in Germany) our diorama wandered to the USA. It is now located at the local museum on Marye's Heights. So for all of you living in the USA or going over for a trip at the 150th aniversary of the battle you have now the chance to see our diorama life."

More importantly, will we get to play a game with it at Historicon? |

Nice display. I hope to see it when I go through Fredricksburg next time. We are heading back to North Carolina around New Years Day but with Mother in Law and Great Aunt in tow I do not think the boys and I will stop. I have a scenario for the whole of the attack in 15mm using JRIII. Fits on a board about 30 feet long by 6 wide. Can be played as one big game or several of the parts of the battle seperately. When I move back East for good I plan on doing it at Historicon one of these years. VR James Mattes

I saw an article about this in our local paper right before Christmas. The diorama is NOT at the NPS museum on Marye's Heights. Its in the Fredericksburg Area Museum on the corner of William Street and Princess Anne Street downtown. |

"I saw an article about this in our local paper right before Christmas. The diorama is NOT at the NPS museum on Marye's Heights. Its in the Fredericksburg Area Museum on the corner of William Street and Princess Anne Street downtown." Sorry, wrong information Guy. The diorama is on display at Gallery 915, Lafayette boulevard just a few yards downhill from the NPS Visitor centre. But I am sure everybody will find it:-)) See more information about the history of the diorama at my blog historyin172.blogspot.com. Go after the label "ACW" and you see a lot of information about it in different postings. cheers uwe
