Have done 1/285 scale micro armor for years. Just started 3mm and am loving it and the cost. I have enjoyed reading about the painting tips. Soon as I figure out how to post images I'll put up pic's of my M1A1's and Bradley's |

I do everything from WWII to present in Micro Armour (1/285). The 2mm thru 6mm is really the only way to really game this period (other than just skirmish games). Nice figures. Nice rice. |

Some amazing work on display here. I have one minor issue with 3mm vehicles and that is the tree trunk gun barrels. would it be feasible to reduce this effect or to replace them with thinner wires/filaments? |

Hi Skarper – the Oddzial Osmy figures are made out of one tough metal (not lead/pewter), so you wouldn't be able to cut the barrels off and replace them with anything. Additionally, the barrels aren't "free-standing", they're connected to the vehicle with a bit of metal. Hard to explain with words, but if you look at these pictures, you'll see what I mean. link I usually paint the bit either the colour of the vehicle or black for shadown. I think using the 3' rule though, the slightly thicker barrels look fine. |
