I really like the Last Stand Hill diorama. Joseph White Cow Bull, a Sioux participant in the closing phases of the battle, was later asked about what he remembered of it. He replied, "dust." However from a painting perspective, dusty-clad soldiers and Indians and acrid black powder residue may be very accurate but not too pleasing to the eye. |
