Yesterday I went to a (late) Kessel Run event here in Stockholm. I brought my four ships rebel build and faced off against some imperial scum!

I put together a proper report of the battles and aftermath on my blog Fire Broadside: link

The new wave 2 ships really are stunners! Especially Slave-1 and the Millenium Falcon. Can't wait for the proper release… :)

Interesting results – conforms to my suspicion that 4-fighter Rebel forces do much better against TIE swarms than 3-fighter formations. I suspect the Assault Missiles will produce a metagame shift where tight formations become much less popular in the near future – between that and the excellent TIE Interceptor, Imp forces are likely to get smaller. Rebels will need to spread out more against TIE Advanced with Assault Missiles as well – being anywhere near a Y-Wing is just asking to be caught in a blast.

A great report and congratulations! :)

@Chief – Currently I'd say yes. Three ships simply don't have the staying power to tackle a swarm. However, with the new skills and upgrades in wave 2 I think they might become viable. Slam a stealth device and R2-F2 on Biggs and he might actually survive long enough for Wedge and Garvin/Dutch/Horton to clean up.

And then there's the A-wing of course. I'm not sure how it will fit in with its less than stellar firepower, but it sure can maneuver into the best firing positions. The assault/homing missiles it brings might make it worth the investment as well.

@Mick – Glad you like it and thank you. :)
