I've had an interest in this little known "war" for years, I have "A Very Civil War" on my Christmas list (hopefully it will be under the tree) and I just ordered "Three Weeks in November"…I pick up the latest Wargames Illustrated and I see an article about the Sonderbund! Anyone else have interest? If so, what scale and what rules?

I for one am looking at 10mm (probably using Pendraken Napoleonic French in great coats) and Neil Thomas' 19th Century rules…

I have also been interested in this 'little war'. Not sure about the time and trouble to build armies for a three week campaign but it's worth a thought. Good luck with 'A Very Civil War'. It has been out of print for years and it took me a long time to track down a (pricey) copy. It's a good book but it majors on the political rather than the military. Luckily 'Three Weeks in November' is an excellent publication and is more in line with what a wargamer wants. Paradoxically the article in Wargames Illustrated, by the same author, is complimentary and gives even more organisational information.

Dear all,

link

This is a interesting war and can be played with any "biedermayer" figurs.
Please find here the site of the zuerich museum which covers this was. They have in ghe main hall some artifacts and paintings and give a full explanintion on it.

Please take note, if you are applying for swiss citizenship is this a question you must answer!

Greetings

Pardon my ignorance, Rudi, but what are biedermayer figures?

Got a copy of the Three Weeks in November book as well as the recent Wargames Illustrated on their way. Hoping to find enough info to put together armies in 10mm.
