54mm pirate action in the classroom.

In this Chapter we see a ship to ship duel and a landing party attacked by the town regulars.

Enjoy and leave a comment for the kids.

Lion's Den very nice set up. Vewry cool as always. where did you get the ships?

Lions Den19 Dec 2012 8:44 a.m. PST

The ships are thrift store finds. They are by Simba for the small ship and Zizzle for the Black Pearl (Modified.) I have about nine in all in my collection. I am planning a backyard naval game.

Good action and good pics. I really like the "old school" feel of the cardboard trees.

Looks great. I like the idea of basing the pirates on antique looking coins

Great work Lion's Den.
I have the highest admiration for your drive to introduce the idea of blending games with fair-play, education and creativity.

That was way cool.

@ PaulsB, those coins come from the games "Shooters" (big box of dice and poker chips) and "Yahtzee Texa Hold'em" (another dice and chips game). I am a big BGG thrifter and I repurpose things a lot.

Thanks for the comments guys. I do share the comments with fellow staff and the kids in the Strategy Gaming Club.

Thrift store finds are the best. Good call on the coin-bases.
