Maybe the eBay seller was trying for the publicity to run up the prices. The current one is going for more than any of the past few that they sold.

There was an article today that that's what it was – fell out of another package and a helpful post office worker thought it was meant to be addressed to Professor Jones at U of C, so he added the zip code and sent it on its way.

I think they opened it after they realized the movie connection.
