Is this style of helmet ok to use as a saxon warlord in the Arthurian period?

Yes. It looks like a near-contemporary Vendel helmet. |

Define 'Arthurian period'. It is rather later than c. 500 AD |

Vendel era starts 'officialy' around 550 AD so it would be perfectly suited for an 'Arthurian' setting. I'm not entirely sure it IS A Vendel period helmet though. Looks a bit earlier to me. The one in the background is definitely Vendel era. |

That's very nice conversion work! |

I'd be more worried about the sword which is on the wrong side and suspended by a belt when it should be a baldric. The Vendel helmets belong to a style with a tradition so why shouldn't there be an earlier exemplar. Roy |
