I enjoy the serie. Like very much Sisko and his crew.
Here I read history of Deep Space Nine or "Terok Nor" that I didn't know before.
The model is great.

I remember the time this series was about .I think Babylon 5 was around aswell and it was great Sci-Fi TV while they were both on Dominion and shadows lovely stuff.
even with farscape ,firefly etc.. those days have not returned yet.

I like DS9, wish they'd show it and Voyager on SyFy, along with TNG and Enterprise !

My favorite of the modern series. The characters were developed more deeply than TNG, and once the Dominion arc started the show gained a continuous storyline that allowed the characters to grow (unlike TNG, where for the most part the characters remained unchanged throughout the series' run). DS9 also allowed for political intrigue and recurring villains and allies, which the "traveling" series could not logically sustain.

And yes, the Defiant is a nice little ship, one of the more logical designs of the nineties era of Trek.
