Looks bit enough to be an anti-spaceship rocket to me. |

I pulled it out of the box and thought "Where's Godzilla?" I'm leaning toward calling it 'suitable for low orbiting targets and possibly nuclear warhead equipped'. (Though those pesky nuclear dampers usually take the fun out of using nukes). |

The diecast model is absolutely wonderful the missiles look a bit too large and cartoonish to be actually believable but it shouldn't be hard to replace them with better ones |

the missiles look a bit too large and cartoonish to be actually believable I'm thinking it's a May Day Parade missile, myself. |

Looks like a SCUD missle! |

Looks more like a Lance, or FROG, not a SAM

If I see one of those I'm going to hack that rocket off and have me an awesome armored tracked flatbed! |

the missiles look a bit too large and cartoonish to be actually believable I can only offer the SA-4 as evidence of really big SAMs on an armored chassis.

*sigh* I keep on looking at all the wargame worthy toys my son gets, but alas
.my wife makes sure that I do not swipe them and convert and paint them for the table
he has a striker that would be perfect fodder for the table as well as several other interesting vicks and buildings! |

the missiles look a bit too large and cartoonish to be actually believable Not really, but now I have an overwhelming urge to paint one like a Bullet Bill or some other over-the-top ordinance:

I would see the missile launcher is the OP as a perfect objective for a Spec Force team to take out. Think SEALs vs Scuds
Big A.. Missiles like that always seem a little out of place in Skirmish games. ICBMs with a scale range of 1/2 mile, and the like

I will second Ghostrunner's suggestion and agree that this vehicle would be better off as a game objective. |

Someone should set up linked convention games centered around some of these beasties: if the SRBM-hunters fail to take the launchers out their payload impacts on other tables where more conventional actions are being played out. The SRBM-hunt should be played out in 15mm while the missiles should be launched on 10mm or 6mm tables where larger battles are being played. The overall results of each table should count toward the convention game's strategic objective.

Not a bad idea, Moqawama. It could even be used in a more conventional home campaign. Going with Mako's suggestion of an anti-spacecraft missile, successfully destroying this launcher wwould allow reinforcement troops/equipment to land. Failure to destroy would prevent the use of reserve forces in the next game. -Chris K. |
