Been fooling around with different ideas everything from Letter Beads, to 1" black disks with Shinny Rhinestone, to just plan coloured beads.

Here is what I am looking at right now:

Stress Letter S, or ruby red rhinestone on 1" oval black or gunmetal gray disk. or a red bead.

Focus Letter F, or blue rhinestone on 1" oval black or gunmetal gray disk, or a blue bead.

Evade, Letter E, or Green Rhinestone on 1" oval black or Gray Disk.

Targeting gray tiles with corresponding letters A for Targeting ship and lower case a for the targeted ship. I have several other ideas still in the planning stage.

unit identification, I have some small tiles mosaic that I plan to put letters on and these fit in the slots on the base.

Critical Hits, letter C or yellow rhinestone on black or gray 1" oval disk. Also considering using a gray or yellow bead.

Ion Letter I or pink rhinestone on black or gary 1 " disk.

Shields. Letter X (or other) bead, or light blue rhinestone on 1" disk, black or gray.

For shields since the markers go on the cards I have some plactic yellow and red rhinestones that would work very well.

Now the question is does anyone yet make for sale commerical markers that could be used for the game? I have enough for all the ships I currently have but would like to replace them down the road. If there is a commerical set I might go that route.

Here are a few options, not really cheap but you didn't specify price parameters.

Thanks I just check Litko again and see they have most of the markers I like something a little less intrusive. When I was first looking a few months ago they did not have them out yet. an option for sure. I do like the maneuver dials but they seem kind of expensive when you are looking at about 40 ships.

Wow, thanks Moonbeast.

I like those markers and Litko's whole line of "spaceship" markers.

What's wrong with the markers in the game?

We have templates and replacement bases. I'm on the fence about making tokens. I might do a Mag-Token set for it. So much to do and so little time…

BTW I can do custom stuff as well if you want something special.

The problem with the markers is they are too big and cardboard and you need extra as I bet a dime a dozen I will lose one here and there. I like more rugged markers and not as busy. The Shield tokens are bigger than I need to put on the cards. By using bead letters or beads or other markers on black disks I clean up the table some. With about 40 plus ships it gets busy.

As for bases CorSecEng look great and I am planning to convert many of what I have

Maneuver dials would be great! I have started covering my dial face with Magic Contact paper, there is a tutoral link somewhere here on TMP and the FFG Forums.

Magnetic tokens for targeting and critical hits and/or numbers would be great.

While I can make some pretty nice markers with all the stuff I have gotten from the Craft shops and hobby shops now I am always looking for ways to improve the apperance of the game. My mats are either Gray (Death Star), Blue Green Nedula with tiny silver and blue green rhinestones/glitter, or Black with glitter I want something that will blend nicely with the back drop.

Some of the Litko stuff is nice but I will have to see how then look on the table. Litko stuff looks, well too plastic at times (cause it is!) not that that is bad just looks too off somehow to me.

I already said I made my own range ruler, and as I scale up the game for the Revelle ships and Galloob ships I plan on using I will have to make my own adjustments to the maneuver and range sticks as well.

"Wow, thanks Moonbeast."

Glad I could help.

Let me just say "Shrinky Dinks". I have used these in the past to make markers and tokens and they work great. Use the graphic style you want, cut them out, bake them in the oven and spray them with a matt finish. Done. Cheap and a fun family project if you have kids.

They do shrink so do a trial run before hand to get the size you want.

Wow I use to use Shrinky dinks all the time back in the day. I wonder if they are still in the local craft shops?

In the states I get mine at Hobby Lobby. I use a circle die cutter found in the scrap booking section to cut out nice circles. Works like a charm.
