Be hard t find enough space to put it all in. Not to mention way out of my price range.

I supose you could find them all in 1/32nd plastic, but the crew figures might be hard to find.

Be a fun project though.

All right because no one has yet asked this question, I shall have to do it?

Does anyone know when the next episode will air?

High school tankery team… it does have a ring to it.

I suppose other things like artillery and AT weapons would never be incorporated in the GuP universe. Am I right?

Mobius24 Mar 2013 7:42 p.m. PST

The Maus is the logical end of WWII tanks. Anything beyond that in WWII is jumping the shark. So will they go modern?

Lion in the Stars24 Mar 2013 8:18 p.m. PST

Nah, Centurion and Pershings are available, plus IS-3s.

I think that the 'idea' of tankery is that *because* the weapons are 'traditional', it is somehow more pure. Upper-class Japanese girls are often still expected to learn the naginata (Japanese halberd), after all.

Episode 12 was to air 03/25. The English subbed version usually takes about 24 hours after that so possibly tomorrow. I check Anime Season first. link

I'm hoping for a season 2. Season 1 seems to have been very popular with high ratings.

Here is the non-subbed version.

Like last week I watched the original first, had to see how it turned out.

I'd say that was a very…unusual way to defeat Maus ;)

Ha ha, this final episode was over the top and ridiculous, but I loved it.

I'm crossing my fingers for Season 2

And my wish was granted. Rabbit Team finally knocked out an enemy panzer. Two if you count the fate of the Jagdtiger.

Lordgoober28 Mar 2013 11:46 a.m. PST

Operation Kelly's Heroes for the win!

That being said, do we have the full OOB for the Black Forest Peak team?

Off the top of my head there's

x Tiger I E (including Flag tank, at least 3)
3 King Tiger
1 Jagd Tiger
1 Elephant
1 Panzer III M
1 Maus
at least 2 Jagdpanzer IVs

Lion in the Stars28 Mar 2013 12:25 p.m. PST

Ouch. Too many puddy tats!

MarAndreas28 Mar 2013 12:31 p.m. PST

Near the end of Episode 11, I count:
1 Tiger I (flag tank)
2 Tiger II
5 Panther G
4 Jagdpanzer IV
1 Jadgpanther
1 Jagdtiger
1 Elefant

plus the Panzer III and Maus is 17 vehicles.

Vehicles eliminated at the hill were 1 Panther and 2 Jagdpanzer IV, adding up to 20 – ISTR that's how many they were supposed to have.

Lordgoober28 Mar 2013 1:38 p.m. PST

thanks.

I gave the Rabbit team 2 kills, it was a great dramatic episode. Hoping for a 2nd season and maybe a GuP Board.

Saki, the heroine of Rabbit Team:

It's a sign when you start to dust off old models and thinking about ways to game G&P, the old Peter Pig Maus came out of storage today …

15mm Japanese schoolgirl tank crew, folks! Hit Eureka Minis at: link

I am in for at least 10 crews, personally.

Lordgoober10 May 2013 12:00 p.m. PST

I think I'm going to need to put in for some of these

Damn. I was just about to settle out 6mm vs 15mm. Now, woth those decals, I really want to go 28mm. Crap.

Anybody come up with a set of rules that feel right? I really do want to game this eventualy.

Why not Flames of War with the Tank Aces skills?

I haven't watched too much of the show, so I'm not sure you'd need a higher-detail rule set. If you want a higher-detail set, I have Gear Krieg, which really gives each tank it's own character.

Since this tread appears to be still living, the next OVA will be out in Spring 2014. I have a feeling it will be spectacular. link

Thomas Nissvik03 Oct 2013 3:44 a.m. PST

Come on, people, the Eureka project is still not funded. We need these girls!

J Womack 9404 Oct 2013 8:52 a.m. PST

Wow. That was… oddly fun.

But the whole town and all on a giant aircraft carrier? Man, that thing is bigger than many islands.

I know, I don't have a problem with schoolgirls in tanks (without tanker helmets to protect their skulls – bad idea), but I do have one with the aircraft carrier town. Silly.

Lord GreyWolf17 Nov 2013 11:00 p.m. PST

so has anyone thought of what rules to play GuP with?

my kids saw one of the Episodes and have been harping on to me to get some of my spare 15mm tanks repainted in cool colours so we can see who is the best school.

bee keen to see what rule sets people are using or planning on doing.

Depends on your desired level of detail. If you want to run a good number of tanks, I think Flames of War with the 'Tank Aces' minicampaign from Blood, Guts, and Glory would be good.

Gear Krieg is pretty inexpensive to acquire these days, since it's all pdfs. The dice conventions is a bit weird, though. GK is good because it can give each individual tank some personality, even among mass-produced Shermans or T34s. You might have some trouble with finding stats for all the latewar tanks, since GK pretty much stops in 1943.

There's also Force on Force. You'd need to come up with stats for all the tanks, but the different vehicle damage charts are pretty good. Plus there are vehicle morale effects.

Battlegroup Kursk or whatever might work, but it's more focused on infantry with tanks in support as opposed to a pure tank duel like Force on Force or FOW Tank Aces.

I think the game would be more like WoT on the table and should allow most players the chance to field what ever tanks from 1940 to 1950…

Would the Tank Aces have stats and points for a Maus? T-44? E-75? JS-III?
