I finished my Ssylth from Dark Eldar line.
I love the miniature (just not the quality it was cast in finecast.. but lest put that aside)

Its beautifully sculpted miniature and all parts are interchangeable with plastic DE range
Great stuff. I will certainly buy more of them !

Dealing with Sinister (and still WIP) Duchess

This guy is cold blooded killer but i hope he is not a cold-blooded reptile, otherwise he would move really slowly on this snow :)

And obviously he need some more work, i realized only after seeing the photos in size..;/

Nice model, shame it's only available in Failcast.

Shame indeed, as finecast is no gentle to his scales and underside at all..

I ordered one miniature to see if quality raised since I get him.. because i really want at least 4 more of them, and few other Dark Eldar pieces ..but I am delaying them in fear of disappointment ;(

Very nice work.

I love snakemen, have a good-sized army of them from old Citadel, Reaper, Rackham, Chronopia, and others. But I just can't quite pull the trigger on this guy because he's FInecast.

The cost might be a factor too, eh? Again, a Failcast symptom.

Loved those old Citadel Chaos snakemen models. Those were they days.

Snakemen rox in general :)

This one is really great miniature, with both all arms and head separate pieces.
So he could be built in many different ways, especially with extra parts from kabalites, wyches and scourges.

He is worth a try. You might find a perfect cast snake..

I can see myself at the GW store: No, no, no, no, no, YES!

:)

lol "failcast"

Space Monkey10 Dec 2012 5:41 p.m. PST

Yep, I'd be wanting one if it were metal.

Yep, I'd be wanting one if it were metal.

Need that saying on a t-shirt for trips to the GW store. :)

We had similar problems with one here. My mother did one for a painting contest, but I did the prep work on it. The process is improving for sure…but for now, it's problematic and the "finecast" brand may not recover from it's initial bad reputation for a long….long time…just as some people still have that stigma over FW rules and stats being OP'd. Which….they can be. I mean hell, a drop pod that can deliver terminators AND then FLY again?! What the hell man?

Use any torso you like… create snake tail/lower body from green stuff… voila, instant custom snake-man/men in any flavor you want, for a fraction of the cost. Only minimal sculpting skill required.

AWuuuu11 Dec 2012 11:03 a.m. PST

I did ! :)
I am quite happy about this tail of mine, but such fine scales are unfortunately beyond my skill

But that mises the point of beautiful snake.

It can be said of any miniature ever :)
