I picked up a Millennium Falcon at a garage sale this summer and completely forgot about it. I stumbled across it last week and was surprised it was a good match for X-Wing. So I made a flight stand and gave it a wash with GW Inks and it looks pretty decent.
If you want your own it's a Taco Bell toy. auction |

Looks great, I will have to make sure my son doesn't see it as he is desperate for me to buy X-Wing. |

would THIS 'snap tight' kit work as well for 'X-wing'???? I know it may not be as 'cheap'
.but is it close enough in size???? (and this site appears to be cheapest place to get it, compared to ebay + shipping, etc)
and then giving it a black 'wash'
.??? is it close enough for X-wing? Sgt DWW-btod |

Wow I did not even know about Taco Bell Star Wars toys. It look very nice. A little small for my taste but definatly usable for the game. VR James Mattes |

Yeah someone posted about the Revelle kit being pretty close in size to the one coming out for this. Thanks Xin I just bought me one for 8.50 including shipping which was cheaper than the revelle kit. |

Yes I have the Revelle kit it is about 3 inches by 4 inches and the one coming out is 5 inches by about 4 1/2 inches. VR James Mattes |

Funny
I just found two of those over the weekend in my garage and thought they would be great for X-Wing

Auction seems reasonable, until you tack on the shipping charge too. Might as well just buy the one from FFG. |

Well 2 have been bought since I posted. One is $10 USD with $3.51 USD shipping. The MSRP on the official one is $29.99 USD. Just helping with alternatives that are cheaper and available now. Cheers, Xin |

Here's the cheapest Revelle Falcon I've found
ehobbies.com/rmx858341.html I ordered one there myself
(shipping costs almost as much as model)
. but then I've also 'pre-ordered' the Fantasy Flight one due out in Jan 2013
. (and yes, the Revelle one should look good with black 'wash') |

The Revelle Snap-Tite kit is really nice and just about the right scale too. It's plenty good enough to hold us over until February. |

$9.99 USD is a good price I got mine for I think $11.99 USD. VR James Mattes |

What are you lads using for the Falcons stats etc til Feb? Thanks, clif |

Can use the real stats if they like – they're easy to find online. All the Wave 2 ships have been 'spoiled', and it's done nothing to dampen my enthusiasm. |

It looks decent although small. But will you be able to resist when the proper release hits the shelves? :)
