wildwestexodus.com Put together by the Battlefoam dude
seems very "Deadlands" to me
maybe too "Deadlands"? Personally, I'm tired of "Steampunk". |

35mm – bah! Slick presentation though

Honestly, my first impression was, I bet they don't have the copywrite holder/s permission to use a Johnny Cash song to advertise their product. I missed where it said they were 35mm. |

Hmmm. Main problems for me is that Great Rail Wars for me is in hiatus; enjoy the game and the setting (as I have amended both) and have lots of minis, about half painted, but I am totally preoccupied with other projects at present. But secondly -- 35mm??? Yikes! For one huge thing, I have a ton of 28mm southwest buildings, and am not in the least disposed to switch to a larger scale. |

35mm will fail immensely. What a comically stupid choice. |

Always on the lookout for new VSF models, but 35mm will really restrict my purchasing to the occasional monster or contraption – if that. Al | rivetsandsteam.com |

IIRC many boutique figures are large 35mm. Isn't Malifaux (sp) that large? |

If their 35mm means about 32mm (Black Scorpion or Warhammer Heroic scale) then they could save themselves. I love the look of the sculpts, but have zero interest in Steampunk Old West (which is odd as I love Steampunk
and love Old West but freakin' hate them together). The only thing I'd like is a game similar to Firefly

I kinda agree with TurnStyle. Steampunk in the wild west should be more like the old Wild Wild West with Robert Conrad and gang. Some dergibles, and steam machines, and evil geniuses; yet more western action than exotic. Blackwater Gulch seems to have hit that mark rather well. I'm still looking at the malifaux line with the death marshalls, but it still feels like cthulu in stetsons. Most steampunk seems to be going full tilt into fantastical. I'm more looking at jules verne, with mary shelly and chittychittybangbang type notes with a small taste of cthullu. |
