I discovered a very easy way to make guard rails for my urban terrain.

The rails come from the plastic sticks used for stirring coffee. Thanks Dunkin' Donuts….
I put a tutorial up on my blog if you are interested.

Great idea!

I'm not sure about the uprights. But it's a real good idea for a use for stirrers.

I agree with the robot, those have the wrong structure for the US. But they are so easy, and in 15mm I don't think that matters much. They convey the right idea and so the gamer's eye will see what you want him to see.

And the donuts are pretty damn good too! ;-)

Very clever, thanks.

Thank you for all of the replies. At 15mm, the upright parts are barely noticeable. It looks right from arms length, but the closer you look, well……
I guess that is true about all of my miniatures and terrain.

….Genius!!! After my head stopped spinning, I thought of other uses in 28mm. And I thought wooden stirrers were the only useful coffee devices.

Good tip I have used sturring sticks for ACW fences for years.

Very good indeed. What kind of paint do you use that will stick to the plastic?

I primed the plastic with Vallejo black brush on primer. After priming, any paint should stick.
