It seems from the small fotoz that the "clap boards" have been allowed to "weather." Back in the 18th and 19th Century, when New Englanders still believed in God, it would have been painted a pristine and stark white (and maintained) by the congregants. I hope to get one of these soon… it looks like a good model… if the Great Pumpkin puts a little something in my Festivus Stocking.
