Have a feeling final fantasy tactics is on android as well – great game.
Traditional war games I don't know as my tastes are mostly sci fi….. |

There is a Quatre Bras game that is quite good. Limited to the one battle sadly but does have a free setup option iirc. |

I use an iPad, so no guarantee these are ported over, but search for "Hunted Cow Studios". I've got the ACW and WWII games. |

Assuming the Kindle Fire runs Android apps, there's a Waterloo version of the Quatre Bras game by DK Simulations – they also do Wargame Gettysburg, Wargame 1st Bull Run, Barbarossa, Rommel in Africa and the Korean War. I only have the Napoleonic ones, and the AI is a bit limited, but they are fun in a "I've got 15 minutes to kill" kind of way. |

I have Rommel in Africa, its kinda hard to play,the touch screen doesnt work the best.For $1.99 USD,its ok. |

Great Little War Game and Great Big War Game are both excellent. There is also an ACW game that escapes me right now, and another set in ancient Rome. I'll have to check mine tonight when I get home. If you decide to root your K-Fire and install the Google Play store, there is a lot over there which you won't find on Amazon's app store. |

Populus Romanus is an Ancient Roman battle game. Sort of a hex and counter game that allows you to play out great conflicts on a campaign sort of level. very fun if not a little maddening at time. |
