From their Az-Tech range:
8810 Battle Gun Turret

If you want to bulk them up a bit, there's
8808 Battle Tower Base

and
8809 Battle Tower Tall

I've got one of those turrets at home; from memory, it's about 6cm along a side.

Wouldn't those be too big?

On Shapeways, there's a store called "Ferlin Pomfrett" (no idea what that means) with turbolaser turrets and (for Hoth) ion cannon turrets.

way too big! you would need to take out a loan to get a nice set of them at 18 quid a piece. they look great though.

this guy is awesome. Still a little big though!

£18.00 GBP each? They're £8.00 GBP They'll work fine without adding the base segment.

Too big? possibly, but it's a matter of taste, I suppose. Presumably you get big guns as well as little ones; the expected mode of attack was a capital ship assault, after all.

those look massive but really good. Still £8.00 GBP for just the turret is steep. really like the model at the bottom.

I sooo want ones that look exactly like the ones in the movie and to scale for X-Wing. But knowing me I will end up buying any and every thing out there down the road. These are some really nice models.

Do we know of anyone getting slapped with C&D letters?

I like the look of the larger towers. I played some Rogue Leader for the GameCube tonight and they have both tall/large towers and smaller ones on the Death Star mission. I liked the look of having both.

combat wombat10 Dec 2012 7:22 a.m. PST

I know of two so far. I agree Im making a set of tall towers as well.

AndrewGPaul,

Just wanted to confirm that the bottom of the three pictures you present is the "Turbolaser turret large scale" from Shapeways on a custom base?. I only ask because it looks slightly different than the diagram on their sight.

Cheers!
Eric
