Here goes, it is a family tradition to buy some new items for the tree each year. Got them from all over the world. This year I am thinking of suprising the family with a set of X-Wing birds to hang on the tree at Christmas. The day after New Years the tree comes down and there you have it! New recruits for the fleets! New Halmark annual ornements run about the same if not more in price so it should be looked at by the significant other as a bargin. Amazon has them on Sale and so does Cool Miniatures. Let's make this a Star Wars Christmas to remember! VR James Mattes |

You bet! Next up is "Star Wars Holiday Special"!

So you really aren't getting them on the cheap, you are just assigning them to a different part of the yearly budget? Kind of like us applying a temporary contractor's salary to the training budget instead of the project's budget. Either way we are spending the money, it just looks different on the books. richarDISNEY, Oh yeah, it is that time again. Thanks again for this torture every year now! It's interesting how two of your likes are essentially one now, Star Wars and Disney! |

The title should be, "How to justify more X-wing ships to the Finance Minister(wife)" Good idea. |

In best Mickey Mouse voice: "Happy Life Day!" Anybody tried playing with the 1" Studio Bergstrom fighters? Or does that not work, given all the special templates, tokens, counters, dice, datafaxes, and cards required to play? |

Have not gone that small but I see no reason you could not use the existing templates and such. Iding whom is whom you would have to work on. VR James Mattes |

There are some Star Wars chess sets out there with X-Wings and Tie Fighters as pawns. I've got one at home somewhere.
linkThe ships are about 1 1/2 inches long/wide. Any use? |

Those would definitely work, just need to find some square bases for them so that you can workout the movement and firing arcs easier and you are good to go. Those dimensions are pretty much the same as the X-Wing miniatures. |

Hey Jimmy I see you are in Maryland. If you ever get up to AoCM in Glen Burnie tell the guys I said hello and will bring X-Wing big battles up when I am in the area! VR James Mattes |
