Any ideas what size comparison of the RAFM minis are like compared to more recent manufactures like Conquest or Perry Minis ? |

RAFM's figs were sculpted decades ago and are small by today's standards. |

The French, British and militia are "true 25mm", while the Indians are even smaller than that. Perry and Conquest etc are 28mm. |

79PA is right the RAFM sculpts were 25mm and sculpted in the 1980s. So they would be small compared to 28mm. This would be the same issue with Frontier USA which were also done in the 1980s. |

Mmmm thats as I thought, thanks for the confirmation. Bless them, I bet they were the bees knees back then
. how things have changed ! |

They're still the Bee's Knee's! Everbody elses' scale is wrong! I have hundreds of the things and they're about 2mm taller than old Minifigs and about 3mm smaller than current Perry's. Depending on what you want to do with them they're still quite useable with other ranges. Probably best not to mix them, I have with fair success. The Flint & Feather range were sculpted by Bob Murch of PulP Figures Fame. The All the King's Men range were sculpted by someone else and are not as nice. I wouldn't mix them with current Foundry British, which are ABSOLUTELY HUGE! |

They aren't too bad mixed with old glory but it is so strange these days to by a pack of 6 of the exact same figure. how spoiled we are now. |

I like my figs to be the same for line troops. I would like some variety for light and irregular troops and have done conversions and head swaps with the RAFM's. |

It also depends which Old Glory range you compare the RAFM's with. Fine with the French & Indian War range. I've used their open handed gunners to make drummers and ensigns for my piedmontese army. I assume these are younger soldiers so a bit of height difference doesn't matter much. They won't mix well with the OG Jacobite range which are much bigger and cruder. |
