Anyone bought these? The Flashpoint website doesn't even list them yet Chesapeake in the US seems to sell them.

freerangeegg01 Dec 2012 2:32 p.m. PST

Yes. Just painting a pack up at the moment, they're very nice. Lots of variety in the poses and fit in well with the Battlefront stuff size wise

mghFond01 Dec 2012 4:01 p.m. PST

Thanks freerangeegg, how may I ask did you get them as the Flashpoint website doesn't even show them? Yet the US reseller has them on their website.

freerangeegg01 Dec 2012 4:05 p.m. PST

From minis of Chesapeake along with some ANZAC pioneers, MG teams, medics and mortars and some new vietnamese civvies which aren't on the Flashpoint website either, but which they had. I think the Flashpoint site has been in need of an update for about 6 months now.

Nadir Shah01 Dec 2012 6:39 p.m. PST

The Sappers pack for the VC includes a variety of poses, BF Vietnam figures having been made after FP figures fit in well with our sized miniatures. FPV VC sappers have guys carrying mines, cutting wires, carrying ladders, various Bangalores, Flamethrowers and much much more.

I have some, bought from Miniatures of Chesapeake, too. It's a great pack of minis!

Dennis030202 Dec 2012 4:31 p.m. PST

I've bought a lot of the Flashpoint Vietnam stuff from Miniatures of Chesapeake and the service is just terrific. I also love the Flashpoint minis. Not only are the minis super but the variety is the best for the period just about every unit you could think of is in the range. You won't go wrong here.

Thanks guys. I checked but Miniatures of Chesapeake didn't have some basic packs like NVA rifle platoon so I wouldn't want to just buy support weapons packs. And the Flashpoint website,as Freerangeegg commented, is in desperate need for an update, they sell less than half the packs that Chesapeake advertises.

Hi guys ! My name is James Tiffin and I am the new (1 week) owner/operator of Flashpoint Miniatures. Yes ! the website has been in a coma for about a year and a half ! ..I am fixing at the moment, and getting the 'forums' page free of spam and old addresses etc. etc. lots still to do !

Getting pictures of the range (there's a lot!)on the website is a numbah-one priority.!
…I'll start with the Sappers if you like !
I'm just going to undercoat them and photo, otherwise it will never get done …. there's a lot !

Off the top of my head ; the 'Mainforce VC Sapper Platoon' pack is about 35 figures, chap with ladder, two of each of three different pole-charges,minelayers,wirecutters,plus 20 extra-sneaky Mainforce VC NCO/AK47/RPG/RPD and an Officer.
Like i said … I need to get some pix happening !

'Miniatures of Chesapeake'is one of the biggest FPM stockists in USA, if they don't have it,.. they can get it !
..Their catalogue is a better idea of what's available until we get the website's vital signs happening.
They have big order request for US Marines on the table at the moment. ! …Always Faithful !

I still need to do a stocktake, and i still want to see how the moulds spin out … lot's to do .
So please be patient for the moment, there's lots of good things coming ! Start yout TOE wishlist now !

Congratulations capt jimmi on the purchase of Flashpoint-Miniatures from Siege Works. I know you are very passionate about this era and will do wonders for its growth.

Siege Works wishes you well in all you do with this lovely range of 15mm Vietnam miniatures. Yes there are loads of figures with over 50 Vietnam packs out there currently.

We were a bit slow on the updates for Flashpoint (: But now that it has changed hands expect great things for the website and Flashpoint forums. Exciting times for Vietnam 15mm enthusiasts everywhere :)

Howdy (belatedly) again,
I have just got the Flashpoint-Miniatures website up and running (yeah… two and a half months later!), and only just got painted samples of the MVC Sappers to show …. here they are on the website ;
link

We have undertaken an enormous effort to reshape, repack and redeploy FPM. There is such a wealth of excellent minis here, and now I feel We can offer these ranges of figures, vehicles and terrain to their full potential.
…More to follow !

capt jimmi – looking at your website, it seems there is no retailer yet in the UK. Is that correct?

capt jimmi17 Feb 2013 6:39 p.m. PST

Greetings Mr Chicken ! Yes !… as at this moment this is correct. For all sorts of reasons we have really only been 'open for business' for less than a week now.
I'm sure this will change very soonly.

Thanks capt. This has been one of those sleeper projects for me for some time and I feel the time is now right to paint what I have and buy more!
