Hello all, I updated the blog with some pics of the ongoing sci fi project. All figures are 28mm. So far, only a squad or so for each side, but the project is progressing nicely. I hope to finish up a few more of the miner units and then some more trucks and a tank for them to ambush. Need a lot more rocks and crystals as well. Not sure how I want to do vegetation. I like the barren look but I want to add something besides trees. I might need to take a look at some aquarium plants for that. Here are some previews.
More pics on the blog: link Thanks, Keith |

Great stuff and great collection! Nice painting on troops that are sculpted with symmetrical lines but that truly are a challenge. All those robes, one on top of the other, left me dizzy and not knowing where one began and where it ended. Won't paint those again. Also, the faces were a puzzle. Are they masks? Are they top layer of putrid skin? |

Thanks! I know what you mean about the cloaks. I went round and round trying to figure out the layering of them. I mostly stuck to a solid cover overall and only picked out the orange and khaki where I could distinctly see the beginning and end. I'm not sure what is under the mask either. The sculpt sort of looks like a face, but it would pass as a rubber mask or something else. I painted mine as flesh just because to add another neutral was getting to be a bit much and I wanted a contrast. I sort of wanted to hint at the humanity underneath, fitting with the backstory of the army. Fun models to paint though, despite the tricky sculpts. |

How are the rules coming along. Well they see the light of day soon? |

Chal is currently on vacation, but the plan is to finish it soon. I'm not sure what he has to do yet, but I would imagine it will be out early in the new year. Hopefully sooner :) |

Great. Would love to run a game of it at a con next year. |

Thanks! I love the figures. I have been following the new releases as well and I really like the near future stuff. Do you plan to add any more to the current Kolony Militia and Kolony Ferals line? Next in line for the project is buildings and industrial terrain. |
