I saw this on the Empress site (under "news")…

empressminiatures.com

…and I'm quite excited about it. Anyone else? I wonder what the future plans are for this line?

I think they are terrific and cant wait to get my hands on them. Steve at Age of Glory says they are on order but he does not yet have them in stock. I'm very sorry to say that the Pathans on my painting table look horribly inadequate after seeing these from Empress.

Those are nice I hadn't thought of doing the third war but now am tempted.
I wonder if you could use Mongrels mujahedin armed with .303 rifles with them?

essayons726 Nov 2012 3:58 p.m. PST

I'm certainly going to throw one or two of these into my FoF games….

Can't wait to see the Brits!

I bet you they'll be taking their cue from the Foundry Risings and Rebellions book.

No doubt your wallets will wail and cry and scream at the the Empress prices too….Not that they are not worth it, but it could be a little cheaper.

They look well done, but, they are similar to all the other Afghans i've painted over the years; excepting their "modern gear".
Feels like someone wants me to buy and paint the same style figures all over again.

idontbelieveit27 Nov 2012 6:38 p.m. PST

Wow. Who is their sculptor?

Mad Monarchist28 Nov 2012 4:18 a.m. PST

I'd guess Paul Hicks.

mashrewba28 Nov 2012 10:15 a.m. PST

Got to be Paul Hicks -excellent work. They are very expensive but they do some very good deals on some ranges which makes it much more feasible.

Gorgeous…..some Gurkha to fight them would be great!
