Those hairless horrors, the Gutter Gophers, have returned to our webstore, and now they are in pewter!

Our resin caster doubled the price of the sets so we had to take them out of production and have them redone in pewter. THAT required that we have their legs modified just enough to have them castable in pewter -- several poses were quite impossible to put into a black rubber mould and that's why they were cast in resin in the first place. The models are now very slightly different in appearance than shown above, due to a minor leg repose on a few of the models.

Anyway, they are available here:

I've always liked that "Burrower" design:

@CC: what are those images from?

I feel like I'm obligated to buy some of these to support my preference of metal over resin… plus they're nice sculpts that would make nasty little critters for 28mm as well.

From the 2008 film The Burrowers:

Burrowers is a great movie as is the prequel. It may not be the most stellar of productions but the concept of a creeping doom sort of horror movie set in the Old West is quite appealing to me.

Prequel?

PS. By the way, The Burrowers is on Netflix now.

I didn't know there was a prequel either.

Apparently a short film, so it may be difficult to track down.

Yes, it may have only been released to cable On-Demand through FearNet. But there is a prequel that follows a band of Native Americans who encounter the creatures before the characters in the main movie.

It delves into the native beliefs surrounding them.
