Hi guys, I've been working on a Warhammer Fantasy Battle League Table website for people to save their battle results online and then compare their performance with other gamers. I'm about 50% complete but the first phase is ready for testing and feedback. If you're interested in helping me out with a bit of testing please read my blog entry here:- link If you're not interested in testing but want to take a peek at the site, it's here :- wfbattles.com

This is a cool idea, though I no longer play WFB. I expect you will see some interest from people who play FoW or other competition games (even Blood Bowl) and perhaps a number of other systems as well. Are you willing to expand this idea further to other games? |

Great idea! I have something similar planned for TMP, even wrote part of the code already, but it's waiting now until after TMP 4.0 rolls out. |

Thanks for the great feedback guys. Hi Justin, at the moment I'll just be sticking to Fantasy Battle, it's been quite a job getting it all to work so far – I'm fairly new to SQL Server and am finding it a bit tricky to be honest. Once I'm up to speed with SQL and ASP.NET I could probably make similar versions for other systems providing there are not to many more variable to take into account and they are 1 vs 1 games. That's something for the future though, I have my work cut out fine tuning this one for now :-) Thanks Ed and good luck with your development, I'll keep an eye out for it. |

I've got the site online for testing for anybody interested. I'm quite pleased with myself because I knew little about SQL before I started – actually, now I've seen it I feel like I know even less ! Same with c# and ASP.NET, it's powerful but painful to learn :-( Anyway, if you'd like to give some feedback please post it in our forum. See the website's "Home" page for the link. |
