I thought I would post a few pics here of my recent C&C N game. I'm still working to finish the terrain cloth but you can see I'm gradually working around the hex 'dots'.

All figures by Baccus, buildings by Timecast, everything else made by myself. The 95mm hexes laid on the table are by ERM and are laser cut from 2mm MDF which is perfect for terrain work.

Hope you enjoy the pics, its gradually coming together now!

Cheers,
Lee.

Good looking board and an improvement on your first outing (link) TMP link

I am following your project with interest as grid terrain is interesting me at the moment and there are relatively few posts here in support (there is a nice setup by ray29 over in the Baccus forums).

I enjoy both ancients and napoleonic C&C and I am just painting up and basing some Nap french, though I am using 60 x 30mm bases.

I am prepping a game board and am likely to go with squares rather hexes, though I am tinkering with both.

I think your trees look really good (clump foliage glued to skewers I think you once said)

@normsmith you could always use a brick like pattern. It gives the same options as a hex pattern.

Really handsome game set up. Well done.

Looks good but I thought the cleaner look of your first board looked excellent as well.

Thank you chaps, I'm still working on the cloth, trying to tone some of those random brushtrokes down a little bit.

normsmith, the hex dots are getting quite hard to see now, but with terrain laid on the hex pattern seems to stand out slightly more. The trees are hand made as you say, bit fiddly but once everythings glued and dry they seem OK, standing up well so far.

Cheers,
Lee.
