Talk about a stealth effort – less than a week to go on this Kickstarter and this is the first I ever heard of it: link That's the TTA series from the late 70's that many of us old fogeys will remember with more than a touch of nostalgia. The creators are the same guys from Morrigan Press, who took a rather lukewarm stab at printing revised versions of the books and an RPG about four-five years back. Despite that, the connection to Savage Worlds has me thinking $35 USD for a copy would be worth the risk – it's likely to be pretty, at the very least. The new publisher, Battlefield Press, is a pure RPG company that's done another Savage Worlds book and several other games using different engines – Legacy (which is totally not-Highlander the RPG) being the only one I've played personally. They need a little over $4 USDK to reach funding, which seems unlikely at this late date – but they might surprise me. Getting pledges for another 120 copies of the book isn't impossible, even with the rather cruddy job they've done of publicizing the project. |

I have all the TTA books and love 'em. Also like Savage Worlds! Good find. |

Pity it was all so low key
I have the original books and they are inspirational stuff. |

Yeah, doomed by lack of effort, I fear. A shame – it's like they don't know the market very well. |

Course, would have been exciting if there'd be figs. Any of Chris Foss' work would be awesome. And, as most of the illos in the books were recycled paperback cover and magazine illustrations, plenty of cross-universe possibilities. Gateway ships, for instance? ;->= Doug |

If they announced figs, I suspect the SCN Forum readership base would have the project funded within thirty minutes. :) Sadly, they're a roleplaying company – AFAIK they have no experience in minis production. |

Yeah, I guess 'exciting' was a bit of understatement. ;->= 'Lack of experience torpedoing great ideas' probably makes this 'just as well.' Doug |
