Got these over at Dollar Tree here in MA in their Christmas Collectibles area. At four for a buck, you can't beat the price. Great for modern, victorian and pulp gaming.
They scale nicely with 28mm minitaures, even better if you put them on a 25mm base. Here's a shot of some random miniatures with a lamp both on and off the base.
L-R: Pulp Figures, Foundry Street Violence, Heroclix, Hasslefree, Reaper. All minatures painted by me except for the HeroClix Bane (and the street lights). |

I've got a set of these on my desk right now. I agree – you can't beat the value for a tabletop gaming accessory. |

They also make great potted bushes, a nice park bench, and one of the blister packs which has a group of singers, a snowman, also has a man and woman walking arm in arm. That man and woman are a bit tall but if you cut off about a 1/16 of an inch (maybe an 1/8") they are otherwise perfect for 28mm and since all their extra height is in leg and skirt the cut does not make they look odd. Once you repainting them, they look great and make wonderful passersby type background figures if you are into having busy London streets (I am); this is a great way to fill the streets pretty cheaply. Yes, I got something similar a few years ago. Christmas season at the Dollar stores and at crft stores is great for terrain. |

One of the guys in our group bought a bunch several years ago, and the lights are great for Victorian or pulp games. If you're doing a village scene, they really make the terrain stand out. |

I should say they have a range of trees, too. Mostly snow covered, but easily usable for our hobby. And they're a buck for two. |
