Appropriately dreadful good-looking bunch, but not many pirettes so far!
The Black Scorpion ones are *huge* but the Eureka 'Lady pirate' set are Foundry (& others) compatible:

Hi Abdul

I have a few lady pirates from Foundry – these will be painted next..:-)

Will look at the Black Scorpion range -

I really want to get the Pirate Horde from Foundry painted up first – then a couple of ships (already have Ainsty Man O War) – then I'll get cracking on the terrain – a small port on a jungle island.

Plan to use a lot of my French Indian war civilians, boats, and soldiers to add some flavour.

Cheers Eric

You can't go wrong with Pirates. Good luck finding the pirate ships of your dreams. I bought the Old Glory brigantine and really like it but for most of my pirate ships I did makeovers of Disney "Pirates of the Caribbean" ships that were marketed when the movies were released. They made two different Black Pearls and one Queen Anne's Revenge. I think they work great with 28mm figures once they have had a little modification done to them. You can see mine at warin15mm.com/Pirates.html

what about some pirates wenching? Didn't foundry make something like that? Maluburian or WSS? They would be great pirates – any idea where to find them????

Captmorgan 1670, Foundry has just re-released the their British SYW pack entitled British Drinking & Whoring (SYWB13). Also Eureka has a dirty old man holding a serving wench on his more than ample lap. You can see the Eureka figures in pics 22 and 23 of my Pirate Gallery in the link above. Richard

War in 15mm – your website is awesome !!

I can only dream – if I can get my Pirates to look like my FIW set up I will be happy – your town just takes it to the next level.

I am really interested in the ships you mentioned. Is there a specific brand I need to look out for on ebay?

cheers

Eric

Eric, I really like your FIW collection. The ships in my are all by Disney. The one merchant sloop at the dock is by Playmobil. The Disney Black Pearl I have two of (my Walrus and Calliope) was either released with the first or second movie Pirates of the Caribbean movie; I'm not sure about which movie because I didn't get the box either came in (picked them up at the swap meet). My other Black Pearl (the one I named Hispaniola) was released with the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie. (I had the box with that one.) And the Queen Annes Revenge (my Seraphim) was released with the fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and I know was carried by Toys R Us not too long ago. I have also seen it recently on ebay. If you read the write up that goes with my Pirate gallery, you will get an idea of what I had to do to make the ships work, but I really think they were worth the effort. My Queen Annes Revenge had a lot broken and missing pieces because I bought it as a broken swap meet toy. Also the middle of it pulled out like a drawer (so kids could play down below); unfortunately that drawer section never slipped back in place the same way twice. Nonetheless, I got the repairs done and the drawer section glued in place, and I think it turned out to be a really remarkable ship. All three Disney pirate ships are worth finding and worth the work that goes into them. The Black Pearl from the third movie requires the least amount of work. Really glad you like them. Thanks for the very generous words. Good luck with your project, and I do enjoy your FIW. Richard
