The primary cast of The Big Lebowski!

Overall I'm VERY happy. They have very little flash, no major problems with mold-lines or seams (Ronnie and Walter had SMALL ones on the legs that a pin-file took QUICK care of)

Perfect to add to my growing cast of 28mm "cameo figures" for everything from future wars to zombie and pulp games!

Left to Right:
Walter (John Goodman), Donnie (Steve Buscemi), and "The Dude" (Jeff Bridges)

picture

I really like Walter. the .45 is well done, and the bore is drilled about a 1/32th of an inch deep, which is nice, but i can take my drill to it and make it deeper (which i like to do to "character mini" guns. Donnie is "ok". I have to admit I was REALLY looking for a SLIMY Steve Buscemi character to use in some pulp/RPG games… This one comes short in THAT regard, but looks pretty accurate to the screen, and maybe will grow on me when I paint it. "The Dude" is just about perfect….

Left to Right:
"The Dude" in housecoat (with optional hands with either a milk carton or a White Russian) The Narrator (Sam Elliot), and Jesus "The Jesus" Quintana (John Turturro)

picture

The alternate hands for this "dude are giving me a headache… BOTH are so… PERFECT that I can't really decide which to put on… The Narrator character was a "gimmie", no real attachment there, but maybe he'll grow on me when I paint him. "The Jesus" however… I am QUITE happy with him! He's going into the "gang" I'm making with my "El Chulo" (Danny "Machete" Trejo) figure from my ZOMBIECIDE kickstarter…

Some comparison pics with the Hasslefree "Scoobie Gang" I just finished painting, and need to get around to doing th bases for…

They had other figures, but I really had no use for a "Bowling valkeryie", or yet ANOTHER "bikini babe" (even IF this one was Tara Reid), and I didn't want to blow 5+ bux on a wheelchair character sight unseen…

just putting those minis together had "epic crossover" written all over them!

Dude, Tell me you got the Bowling Ball, Bag and Coffee Can add-ons. Did the Dude's carpet come pre-stained? Those figures look great. No use for them but I will be looking for them in the future. The Dude, Walter, and Donnie vs Zombies, it just doesn't get any better (except when I add in my Clockwork Orange figures). Maybe small magnets for the hands to swap them out. Thanks

You are entering a world of pain, Smokey.

Great figures thanks for the review.

HistoryPhD20 Nov 2012 11:37 a.m. PST

Just gonna have to get 2 of "The Dude" and do one with each of the hands. Then you can swap out figures as the situation demands. Now my question is, does Vallejo make a "White Russian" paint?

boy wundyr x20 Nov 2012 11:40 a.m. PST

I actually did that with my Kickstarter order – got two copies of the housecoated Dude. Got everybody else too (except the Valkyrie), plus the carpet, add-on sprue, and bowling ball dice.

I bolted down to the mailbox. Mine have not arrived. This is bush league psyche-out stuff. Laughable man. Ha! Ha!

Oddball20 Nov 2012 1:43 p.m. PST

A welcomed addition to my zombie fighting figures. I'd go with the Dude figure having the "beverage" in his hand.

religon,

50% of the backer rewards are shipped as of the batch I took to the post today. I've promised my business partner to get the remaining 50% in the mail by November 30th.

You should get an email sent to your KickStarter email address that lets you know when your reward has been packaged and is shipping.

Over the line!

Mark it eight, Dude.

But..I'm the Dude.

Good work with Velma too.

BigNickR23 Nov 2012 9:23 p.m. PST

Thanks everybody, I'm really happy with them.

Good work with Velma too.

Thanks, I liked her figure the best, and it showed with the paint job

@ImpactMiniatures,

Groovy. I got my email the 26th that they had shipped. While I rarely get overly excited about miniature purchases, I look forward to seeing these. Thanks for following through with such a fun idea.

Mine arrived in Canada yesterday, look great. Had to put my rug somewhere where I won't forget it by the time I get these painted up. The Dude dice will make me the envy of the neighbourhood. Well, the bowling alley.
