This must be my week for Kickstarter and IndieGoGo stuff. Earlier in the week I got my Citi-Def minis from Mongoose and today got my Z-Clipz zombies from Studio Miniatures. Here are a few pics comparing them to Wargames Factory plastic zombies and Zombie Plague's Crissy Hot-Rod. I'll be painting some of these as time allows. First impressions is that they have much better detail and proportions than the Wargames Factory zombies and seem to be slightly taller overall. In the following pictures the Wargames Factory zombies are the ones with sand on the bases. (Note: The packaging that says that the box contains 60 miniatures but this is not the case. This might just be a typo.)
40 zombies plus 3 metal ones and 8 resin heads for $30. USD Good deal! Not sure how much these will retail for.
(Crissy is from my game Zombie Plague. More info here: link ) |

Those are intriguing
I can see possibilities to mix and match with some of the WWII bits I have from my Wargames Factory Germans to have some rifle-armed survivors
Imagine the irony of getting decent civilians and survivors from a ZOMBIE box

I got mine tonight, couldnt be happier excepting I will never have the time to paint them. At a glance they remind me of the wargames factory figs. The metals are awesome, Dixon is great! |

Hey, great stuff! I have some studio miniatures zombies too, they are really nice. Can you clarify though, are you saying that the plastic zeds are from studio miniatures too? I typed in google 'Citi-Def zombies' and got nowhere. Do you have a link to the web-page for them or something? I'd like to get some if possible, any help appreciated! Thanks for the comparison shots too! Ark |

Sorry for the confusion Ark3nubis. The Citi-Def minis are from Mongoose's Judge Dredd game: link The plastic zombies are from Studio and are called called Z-Clipz. I don't think they are available yet. Here's a link to their Indiegogo campaign: link The other plastic zombies, those with sand on the bases, are from Wargames Factory. |

sand down the bases and they might work, height-wise. |

Thanks man! That's a great link to the Dredd game, one of my mates particularly loves the Dredd so I think that will be a great find for him. Those 4 zeds look awesome, and the painting is excellent, really good indeed. You said you don't think they are out yet, do you know when their release date is? I have some of the wargames factory zombies and they are nice (I actually like the fact they are more realistic body-head proportions and smaller, it means I can fit them on 20mm wide bases instead of 25mm and so getting more dead per square inch on the table top, really helps when compared to the survivors with their 25mm slotta that I have them mounted on. Thanks for that, and yeah keep us posted amigo! Ark3n |
