I already have the 2 Hasselfree Police figures I want but I wish to get about 5 more figures. They should represent the guys in the Cruisers as opposed to S.W.A.T types. My Internet searches have failed me so far. ATZ-FFO needs about this amount. If anyone could suggest any figures that could serve as National Guard/Army types I would be equally grateful. Until now I have ignored the ads as I didn't think they applied to me and have regretfully been unable to re-create the manufacturers that can supply same. |

Foundry makes a couple of packs of road officers in their Street Violence range. Brigade has a pack in their Atomic Cafe range, but they are 1950s era officers (actually, they would be solid through the 80s or 90s and, depending on your locale, would still be suitable for some small, rural departments. |

Blue Moon Miniatures make some police in their Road Kill line. I have a lot of the SWAT figures (sadly, unpainted), but have a pack of beat cops. I think this is the pack: link They also have some cool motorcycle police link For my zombie games, I use Heroclix Gotham police as well. |

I forgot about them. It is the OG/West Wind line.

For that matter Eureka make 1980s US soldiers in MOPP gear. link TMP link TMP link Now, a purist might argue that they have the wrong guns and gear for a truly contemporary setting, but I think it is hard to argue they don't look right for soldiers in the zombie apocalypse. |

I painted up the Armorcast ones, because NO officer that I know (and I work in one department) will wear an 8 point hat unless it is with a dress uniform or something very official. Granted an exception would be State Troopers who wear their distintive "smokey" hats. Every manufacturer except that one makes Police wearing the stupid dress hats with regular uniforms. |

^^^That is actually one of my biggest beefs with 15 and 25mm police figs. A few depts require them, but for most of us the hats only come out when it is raining. |

I have the Armorcast and the OG/West Wind figs. They're both nice figs of about the same height, but as the pics show, the bulk is completely different, with the Armorcast figs being almost "true" and the West Wind ones being GW in bulk. I'm collecting figs for a Chicago Police faction. I actually like the peaked caps because you do see police fairly often wearing them with non-dress uniform (at public events and such) and the checkerboard pattern on the hat is such a very classic CPD signature. Also the fact that they all have pistols is nice. Also the bulk and nice seam lines means you can easily paint them as wearing the body armor that is standard for CPD. Still the armorcast ones (as seen above) do look more like police that are up-gunned and dressed-down for zombie combat. Unfortunateley most of them are too slender to be painted as wearing body armor. As an alternate choice, Armorcast does make a nice narco team also that has mostly body armor and SMG's with no headgear.
A nice comprimise between full on swat and underarmored rookies. I've seen guys not to different from these get out of squadcars on many occasions in my neighborhood. |

So Many responses and I thank each and every one of you! I confess that there is a wealth of choice but soon I will decide! Again I thank the TMP community! |

Yeah buddy. they really fit the bill IMO. I wrote a zombie game over the poast 4 years, and I have a random events table (trying to make them into cards for game play ease) and t varies from one of the survivors misses an action, right through to Military purge missions on the table and rednecks turning up. These MOPP dudes are the perfect addition and remimiscent of 28 Weeks later when they burn and purge, great stuff, enjoy

I'm not burning the charge card soon as I bought 2 boxes of 'Zombie vixens' to PC my hoard. I was looking for things that would be USED more then once a decade or never. The ideas given here have cemented my thoughts concerning repeat performances. Great stuff everyone! |
