The bases are 5c coins (Australian) which means basing the figures for this game only cost about a $1 USD plus glue and the sand is from the back yard. :o)

Generic cheap super glue base to coin and then wood glue for the sand. Having said that the last pack I bought has acted kind of brittle. Until the wood glue goes over the top that is. :o)
