Some of our club members have the Zombie bug and are considering some rules. Anyone have a good set for mass 15mm zombie games? I believe the last one we used for 25mm was "No More Room in Hell" |

All Things Zombie: Final Fade Out of course :) TMP link |

I recently got hold of 'Pike & Shot & Zombies' which is a great system that gives the feel of survivors in a zombie infested world but it is set during the 17th century (but I did find it very easy to convert to modern day though
:) ). Mick |

There is a good set for free on yahoo The Dead Walk, I would suggest. They are designed for 28mm but I don't think 15mm would ruin the conversion. |

I assuming Modern gaming. Ambush Z is a hoot for 'mass' games. Also Red Ops 5 is decent. Why change from "No More Room in Hell'? Those are solid rules too. If not modern, try Pike and Shot and Zombies. Lots of fun in those rules.

Since you asked for "mass zombies" I would go with "Undead States of America". Its the largest scale Zombie game around. It uses multiple Zombies on bases for the mass effect. There are some reviews of it here at TMP. |

I use THW's ATZ for all of my Zombie Gaming needs. |

>Why change from "No More Room in Hell'? Those are solid rules too. I found them to be rather cludgy. |

I can only vote for the ones I'm using ATZ twohourwargames.com They can be as simple or not as you like. If your group just wants a once off run around the table with simple rules they can learnt in about 2 minutes then ATZ will do it. If you want a long running campaign with reaction tests for nearly every situation then ATZ does that too. |

I have used: ATZ Undead States of America Ambush Z (My Favorite) No Room Left in Hell (Second Favorite) and for games using 1000 or more zombies I use Flames of War rules. (Tweaked of course)
I find Ambush Z easier to learn and a quicker funner game.
ATZ is good if you want a campaign game.. (with characters etc) my $.02 USD |

I second AKULA's free rules. They are simple (2 pages), but have solid move, combat and shooting mechanics that can be learned in a few minutes. Plus, they include 5 kind of zombies, from the "classic" shamblers, howlers, fast and Tank zombies, or a zombie horde. Moreover, the rules are infinitely expandable, as with just a little effort you can adapt ANY "special zombie" from your favorite movie, TV series, comic or novel. Link a couple of post above. Hope that helps. |

Usually I stick to shambling zombie games (ATZ: BDtZ). But we really enjoyed the head to head "mass battle" games of Apocalypse Z. You need a copy of one of the Battlefield Evolution rulebooks to play it. Also the ApocZ book needs a heavy editing job, but we worked our way through it. You get a pretty neat "survivor" army to choose from. Also if your using the Modern Combat rulebook you can field any of the armies from there with a little modifier to the points listed. The undead army is very entertaining though. You have basic zombies, spitting zombies, toxic zombies, zombie soldiers, zombie super soldiers, zombie animals, and even a zombie overlord to lead the horde. Plus you can add mutations to some of the zombies to increase the variety. If I was going for a human vs human game with zombies tossed in, I would go for ATZ. But if your looking for a human vs undead game ApocZ is great fun for a game with 3-12 units on the table (about platoon level to company level). |

ATZ-FFO 1) Good game for opposed groups. 2) Good game for co-op play. 3) Good game for solo. 4) Good game for campaign. 5) Good game for one-off games. One size fits all

ATZ for the win. Although the free ones are good as well. I do not have FFO yet but will when I have more then a little time on line to order and one place for them to be sent since I am on the road the past few months and right now. VR James Mattes |

I am Looking for a FUN Modern era Zombie game that plays almost RPG style, i.e. I want to do a multiplayer game where each player only controls 1 possibly 2 characters with different skills and/or attributes. Looking at playing with 4 – 6 players Which ruleset would best serve please? |
Maxshadow | 05 Dec 2012 5:37 a.m. PST |
I can't say which would be best. I can say that the one I'm using ATZ.FFO link would do the job. |
