Our club has organized a DBMM100 tournament called Apocalypto! dedicated to American ancient armies. We will play it on 16th december, the last sunday before the 21th december :)
One of our clubmate had the idea more than one year ago, so we had plenty of time to paint the armies.
While some armies are not yet finished, several have been painted and here you can see some picture

Those are some awesome looking armies! Any chance of additional pictures of them?

Looking forward to the battle reports.

As soon players will finish their armies, I will post the pictures. After the tournament surely I will write a report with more photos.

So Sarracino's Conquistadores will not be in play.

Great idea for a tournament.

Will the losers be sacrificed in true Americas fashion?
Please do post reports and photos before the 21st.

Cheers,
Robert

This is an excellent plan for a theme tournament. I did an all-american DBA tournament at Cold Wars last year but I really like the End of the World theme. I allowed a Tupi army which is not on your list.

Do tell us how we can get your Mayan Dice.

I made just 25 of them. After the tournament end, if I have some spare, I can send them to you, just send me a contact email through my website.
They are 22mm big, with Hunab Ku symbol replacing the six.

Very interesting indeed.

I suspect Bob was asking where did you get the special dice made. I can imagne others would also like to have dice made.

I have one question are the Conquistadores able to be used, or is it only native Americans?

LorenzoMele12 Nov 2012 12:48 a.m. PST

From Dices and Games LTD, this is their website:
dice.co.uk

Originally we planned to use just native americans, but later we added two conquistadores armies as a touch of colour and to let play two guys eager but with no native armies. The Spanish lists were taken from Conquistadores contingent in Inca and Tlaxcalan armies

So far I think we have 8 players, in two pools, 'Northern' and 'Southern'
