Hope you can use a flash next time. :-)

This is a really unique period to wargame.

I'm getting ready for our first game, Mid East Great War Turks defending against mid-war Brits with a heavy tank. Do you think I should put the Turks in trenches?

I don't intend to use any assets the first game.

On topic. You have to see the movie "My Way". So awesome. Tons Soviet tanks. On Netflix

No assets means no real artillery support. I wouldn't give the defenders trenches in these circumstances.
I played my first game with the full range of assets (but no trenches) and found it easy enough to play.

Before I played it at the club I had played 12 solo games of 15 battalions assaulting 6 battalions, 3 hmgs and 3 field guns in trenches. I didn't use assets

In 10 games the attackers were repulsed and in only 2 did they breakthrough.

If you aren't going to use assets then the Brits are going to find it hard-going against trenches

I'd go with advocate and not use trenches but use assets which allows for hasty defences. Also start the Turks with 3 hasty defences instead of 2 if they have a low hasty defence rating

Let us know it goes
