I will trade some of my napoleonic stuff for Renegade's ww1 early war french, however I don't really play WW1 western front. Would I be able to use these miniatures in some interwar gaming in europe? I don't mind small historical differences if the uniform looks similar.

You could use them as Poles in the Russo-Polish War.

I've used them as French Foreign Legion in Pulp games but you said Europe.
They are very nice figures.

Thanks guys.

79thPA: Thanks, this could definately work. Hallers Blue army if I remember correctly. Now, I have to get my hands on a few adriana helmets too. :)

Dan: I don't play pulp games, but maybe it's time to try them in darkest africa.

Haller's Blue Army was in horizon blue:

But 1914 figs can be painted in this. Or, 'mustard' a khaki that 'Coonial' troops were issued with in 1915 due to horizon blue shortages.

You can also use them as the gendarmerie of some pulp nation – eg Freedonia.

I've used the early war figs in "mustard khaki" for units of the French who served in the Salonica front (late WW1) and the Russian Civil War (Ukraine)

We do a late war range of French here so plenty of helmets and horizon blue.

The command set can be used for early war.

Our miniatures match well with Renegade and Great War.
