I'm pretty proud of the painting on these chaps, but it's in no small part due to these being great plastic figures, ideal for large scale skirmish games…

More details and photo's on the post above, but really if this is your interest they are great value!

For their opponents I can highly recommend the Conte GI's, they really are beautiful figures that look just right.

I agree, the TSSD figures are superb. I wish there were more available!
The Russians are an excellent set as well.

Very nice painting. Is that free hand or a decal on the helmet?

Yeah, they are excellent! I also think the Conte figs are sweet! I wish their US airborne would be back in stock.
I'm a 54mm gamer.

Thanks,

John

Great job. I love 54s.

Very nice. I also suggest Conte US GIs to use. They are hard plastic like a model kit.

I am also a 54mm.

I also have the same set of rules. Have only read them, but they look interesting. I like the way combat is handled.

From what I understand from Nick at TSSD, those Germans won't be run anymore…a shame because I love them too. I think the Russians are no longer going to be produced as well. I hope he changes his mind down the road.

Really nice paint job thumbs up Have a set primed and basecoated around somewhere ? :/ TSSD has some real nice sets. Like Conte too, but their softer plastic is harder to work with. The Alamo Mexicans are a harder plastic but the defenders are soft. Go figure ?

Thanks for the comments and suggestions for opponents :-)

@DS6151 it's hand painted, no Decals for me! That said it's expressive more than anything, even at this scale the shield is less than 3mm tall.
