Only found 3 (old, 2010) post on this game and only 1 brief review on D.H. I got that its a large scale battle game with units on bases instead of 1:1 typical skirmish basing. Can anyone else tell me how a basic turn works out (movement, combat, etc
)? Also, fast or slow zombies? Or does it give options for both? Game looks really interesting. Im surprised there has not been more chatter about it at TMP. As always, cheers for input. |

I really like it. I just wish the rules were laid out in a slightly clearer format, but they are not very complicated so it's not a big issue. There is a campaign element to the game as well as a tactical element. If you play the long campaign, there is a map of North America included and your "army" can move from one region to the others. Zombie infestations start in some of the cities and then spread to the neighboring regions. Your little band can clear regions if successful in battles. You start out with 1 or 2 units of armed civilians, and you can pick up more armed and unarmed civilians, military units, vehicles, useful equipment, and individuals with specialized skills. There are also crazy survivalists and cultists that you might have to fight. When you start a battle, you can decide on what your objective is, whether it is to clear the area, rescue more survivors to add to your group, or find food and supplies. The short campaign is basically a stripped-down version without the map. Once you get to the tabletop battles, they are pretty straightforward. The zombies are slow, but they typically outnumber you and they aren't all that easy to kill. Terrain rules are pretty simple. There are rules for direct fire, both aimed and unaimed, melee, booby traps, artillery barrages and air strikes, reloading, "bunkers", "hiding" in buildings, having to reload, and "mercy killing" of bitten survivors. You could play the tabletop battles by themselves. There are also some optional rules for things like zombie animals. I don't remember if there was an optional rule for fast zombies, but hell, they are so simple it would be easy to do. |

One day, I might start a campaign of this in 10mm, re-fighting the Battle of Yonkers ;) |

Though Im wary of basing my 15mm Moderns in multiple basings (since no other skirmish games use this method), I do like the idea of basing hordes of 15mm Zeds on bases. It would give a really mob mentality look to the game board. |

I did this in 28mm. Welllll
Sorta. I fould these packs of plastic zombies that are actually around 23mm-24mm, hacked off arms and legs to give them a little variety, gave them nice paint jobs. and stuck them on multiple bases. I based all of my survivors one to a base. Despite the height difference, they really don't look all that bad next to the survivors, and the bunched-up grouping gives the impression of a real mob of undead. I plan to eventually buy some nicer zombies, but these were so cheap and quick that I couldn't pass them up. I also made some cheap and fast urban terrain using Worldworks paper sheets that are surprisingly nice-looking. |

Here are some of the survivors. Yes, I like round bases. link And here are some of the zombies. Craptastic pictures that don't do them justice, but I suck at photography
