The Earl of Essex's regiment of Foote, with their orange/"tawney" coats
Lord Brooke's Regiment of Foote, in their unique purple coats. Yes, we now know that having the Parliamentarians all in pots is hardly accurate, nor is the uniformity of the units – but it does make it easier to tell the sides apart! Peter |
