He's changed a lot through the years. I was hooked as soon as I first heard his roar. Didn't care for the cartoonish version of him in later flicks where he was boxing with the other monsters, or lying back on his tail to kick at the others. JJ |

I have them. The only series of movies I've ever tried to acquire. Some on VHS, the rest on DVD. I do enjoy them. The exception being the horrible American remake a few years back. |

Have you seen the original Japanese version (without the American actor)? It is really very good. Gojira. Raymond Burr (best known as Perry Mason and Ironside from those two TV series) was never a part of the original film – his scenes were created well after the fact and spliced in to make the US version. I agree the original version of the original monster in the original movie is the best. JJ |
