Hi all, If you've ever fancied the 1943 daylight bombing campaign over Germany, you might be interested in this: auction Personally, I've found 1943 gives much closer and more interesting wargaming and campaigns than when refighting 1944, as by then the overwhelming numerical strength of the USAAF and poor training of the German pilots make it a much too one-sided affair. I think I was also fascinated by the wartime documentary "Memphis Belle" ~ so much more interesting than the movie! Think I fell in love with the B-17F then ~ lovely, graceful shape to its nose! Anyway, I'm hoping that 178 aircraft, including 54 heavy 4-engined bombers, in 1:350 scale for just £34.00 GBP will interest some of you. Best wishes and happy flying! Ian |
