I'm needing a sources for castles, keeps, forts, and walled villages in 6mm(1/300 or 1/285). Looking for an "Old Europe" style for fictional European nations for use in a 1930's setting.

Scale gets a bit slippery in that range because ground scale and miniature scale tend to diverge strongly.

I know Monday Knight has had some micro-scale European scenery in the past, so they may be worth a look.

Irregular does a ton of 6mm scenery, and I think the castle is parts rather than the whole thing. I.e. you buy wall sections, gatehouses, towers etc. separately, or as a kit.

JR Miniatures had a couple castles, but we're waiting to hear on where their lines ended up.

PaperTerrain has 6mm Vauban star forts (with city walls coming soon).

This is a nice 10mm print and build castle, that can easily be scaled to 6mm.

The Baggage Train does some stuff in 6mm that might be useful as does Leven Miniatures(old european buildings)

I have quite a bit of both Irregular and Timecast stuff and i'd recommend both, though i dont think Timecast does much in the way of fortified non WW2 stuff

Have you browsed this catalog? I have singled out just one paper model kit: link

Thank you everyone, I've seen a few items that might fit the bill. I'm not a fan of paper structures, but I've been shown a few that have me re-thinking that position. Totalbattleminiatures seem to have a few nice pieces that would work for the enviroment I'm wanting to make. It's sad that JR miniatures is gone, quite a few of those structures would have worked, and the prices were nice.

News just came up today that they're back under a new arrangement, with products back on sale early in 2013, so it's all good again!
