I have been looking for Waffen SS gun crews for PAK 40's plus I have been looking for Russians, Japs and US Marines and the web site shows a lot of what looks like good figures. Does anyone have them and what do you think of them. I have SHQ 20mm Waffen SS and Russians.

They're bigger than SHQ, both taller and chunkier, but the ones I have are nice figures, definitely quality.

They are, IMO, very nice sculpts and they paint up well. I have never put them on a table with SHQ minis so not much help there. I have mixed them with several other makes (Platoon 20, Britannia, FAA) and they fit right in with those.

I've mixed them with AB, FAA, Battlefield/Blitz, and Combat. I recall SHQ Russians on the small side so the Warmodelling Russians might dwarf the SHQ ones. I'm not sure about the Waffen SS, but Warmodelling's SS figures are the same size as AB, Combat, etc.

Irish Marine, are you aware of the existence of the Guild, the world wide web's best resource for all things 20mm. Queries posted there will inevitably result in far more replies than you would get here. Plus a quick search will dig up tons of pictures not readily available elsewhere.

That being said, the Warmodelling figures are second-rate AB lookalikes that suffer from excessive flash. Nothing that patience and a good file can't handle however. With the exception of the officers their Japanese are very well animated, however, and will fit in well with their Sgt Major counterparts (but not SHQ, Britannia, and Grubby, alas).

Here's a taster (all Warmodelling figures) from a chap on the aforementioned forum:

Mike.
I forgot to add that I have Warmodelling Japanese and as Monarchist says, these mix well with Sgt Majors. I also have them mixed with Combat and Eureka. All work well together.

In the link, the Warmodelling is the LMG guy in the middle.

For fun, here are two shots of figures from my 'Bataan' scenario:

Thanks Rodger, I think I'm going to do Okinawa in 20mm.
