We are pleased to release the 15mm scale XM-6 dedicated grav tank, a superheavy intended by the Federal Army as an eventual replacement for the venerable Siler Superheavy Tank.

XM-6 Advanced Superheavy Grav Tank

Designed using captured Soriog technology, this enormous creature (the hull is about 125mm long) can be equipped with either a heavy fusion cannon, sometimes called an atomic cannon in Federal parlance, or a superheavy railgun. (Both options are provided with the kit, and it should be an easy matter to make them swappable using a magnet or similar system.)

XM-6 with railgun

Dropping from orbit and approaching the objective at hundreds of kilometers an hour, these tanks are the future of the Federal Army, capable of locking horns with such terrifying alien threats as the Garn GAU and the Mekanoid Dictator.

For close defence, the vehicle mounts two automated laser systems on its turret.

We think that dwartist did a splendid job painting this casting up, as usual. It should be noted that he painted an early casting and I have subsequently sent the kit to a different caster to get cleaner castings.)

The kit is available now, on our in-universe page, in the Federal Army listing, as well as on our generic sci fi vehicle page, the link for which is below. Happy gaming!

Great stuff! Really like the look of this. Dwartist did a great job painting that.

Wow!

Very nice. I will add this to the list for my next order.

Wow, I gotta admit that Khurasan is certainly tops in releasing all sorts of new 15mm scifi goodies! Geez, my buy list keeps growing!

Thanks,

John

Grav vehicles ain't my bread and butter but I cannot fail to notice the high quality and superb production values of this piece.

Keep up the good work.

nazrat26 Oct 2012 5:50 a.m. PST

Wow, that's the best tank you guys have done so far, and I thought the Siler was incredible.

Holy Crap! That is fantastic and I hate you guys.

(And obviously I will be ordering some in the very near future.)

Dragon Gunner26 Oct 2012 6:33 a.m. PST

Could you post a picture of an XM-6 turret on a Siler hull please?

Ghostrunner26 Oct 2012 6:37 a.m. PST

Could almost make it an AI and call it your universe's version of an OGRE/Bolo.

Very cool.

Sean Kotch26 Oct 2012 8:04 a.m. PST

I love your stuff, just wondering if you're going to be back to shipping soon?

khurasanminiatures26 Oct 2012 8:11 a.m. PST

I am shipping now, never stopped -- just cleaning out the backlog from when I hit a crunch in September and early October.

Lion in the Stars26 Oct 2012 8:39 a.m. PST

How long before the XM6 apc version shows up?

(I make fun of others)26 Oct 2012 8:41 a.m. PST

Reminds me a great deal of the Trepida from Traveller. Actually if one leaves the turret off it could serve as the Astrin APC.

javelin9826 Oct 2012 9:27 a.m. PST

Wow, you could probably use that for 28mm gaming, as well.

khurasanminiatures26 Oct 2012 9:41 a.m. PST

I've been told that as well -- that the access hatch is large enough to permit its use as a light grav tank in 28mm.

Lion, that really depends on the reception this vehicle receives. grin

CorSecEng26 Oct 2012 10:09 a.m. PST

I'd love to see a full range of them. Be great for US forces in TW. A medium version and an apc variant would be cool

clkeagle26 Oct 2012 1:13 p.m. PST

Could even be a Blower for Hammer's Slammers, if the Old Crow version isn't to someone's liking. It reminds me of the depiction on one of the book covers (but now I can't seem to find it anywhere).

And since I am a weak willed man, I ordered three.

Kev134026 Oct 2012 2:55 p.m. PST

I need to finish buying tracked AFVs from John first, but the addition of an APC and medium version of the XM-6 would make the 'package' more attractive.

Cheers,

Kev

this is a outstanding model , very clean , easy to build and a monster tank. looks like it will glide across a battlefield tearing through ememy tanks with ease.

infojunky26 Oct 2012 6:38 p.m. PST

I love it's lines…. That loverly ovoid supporting all that tanky goodness….

Krazy Ivan26 Oct 2012 10:10 p.m. PST

All I need is a Startac mech walking next to it ;)

khurasanminiatures27 Oct 2012 8:33 a.m. PST

What's a startac mech?

(Jake Collins of NZ 2)27 Oct 2012 12:37 p.m. PST

Jeez it is big. On the average size TW board I play on (3'x4') it is going to be so big it takes a big chunk of the fighting terrain.
