OK. Bear with me for a second. I may have lost my mind . . . auction auction Aside from getting those little "blocky" reptile figures from Legos: What ready-made figures are out there that 1) are about 1 inch tall and, if painted properly, 2) could pass for a primitive (crudely-carved) Alien statue? Thanks, Dan |

There's the snarky answer of any 28mm figure
What kind of alien? Grey, reptilian, 'angel', etc
? |

I thought about using a badly-cast figure and filling in the spaces between the arms and body, etc., with putty, just to make it look crudely carved. Don't know if that's the route I should take though. I'd love to know if anyone has done anything like that. Or should I just take a block of something and start cutting into it:

There might be some kinds of beads at a Michaels-type store. |

The dollar stores this past Spring had Tiki head ice cube trays. You can also get Easter Island ice cube trays online. |

Hmm. Carved beads might be small enough to work as a stela or pillar for 15mm. Dan |

Completely unrelated, but just as cool to see in "stone" . . .

What about finding some packaging for 1 inch tall kids toys and using the plastic packaging that is sort of vacuumed sealed around it and using that as a rough body shap? |

At the risk of being blackballed for including a link to GW, have you considered looking at their lizardman glyphs? link They're not statues, but it might give you some inspiration. |
